Don’t forget that playing out in the snow can be every bit as fun as playing in the sand on the beach! Just bundle up with some snow pants and boots from the thrift store, and you and your family will soon be having tons of fun! Start a snowball fight, build a snow fort, or make snow angels. Call up your grandkids or your significant other and play, play, play!
When it’s stormy outside, getting motivated to go to the gym can seem daunting. Instead, try a yoga session from the comfort of your very own home by looing one up on YouTube! Get on Amazon and buy some free weights for regular strength training sessions. You could even keep the weights at work to use during your breaks. If there are stairs in your home or at your office, try running them occasionally. If you can’t run, then take every two or three steps as a lunge.
Whatever activity you choose, remember that staying active in the winter is just as important as it is in the summertime. Just because nobody’s seeing that bikini bod doesn’t mean that you can’t be working on it! You’ll be ten steps ahead of everyone else at the beginning of summer, and will feel confident and relaxed as you start to strip off those winter layers!
